Chamber choir “Tonika” was founded in 1966. The choir’s repertoire includes both spiritual, and mundane music varied from Renaissance till nowadays as well as Latvian and foreign music. The choir concert life is active in Latvia and abroad. “Tonika” regularly participates in concerts, festivals and competitions in the Czech Republic, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Switzerland, France and Italy. “Tonika”  has three different age groups:

• Studio (6 – 12 year olds)
• Girls choir (12 – 16 year olds)
• Chamber choir (16 – 25 year olds)

Attractive concerts and musical performances are regularly staged apart from academic music concerts. Traditions – summer camps, dancing, common events and celebrations play an important role in “Tonika’s” daily life.
